Vidi cruise to a very comfortable friendly win

Videoton were involved in their first pre-season friendly ahead of the spring season

Videoton played their first pre-season friendly on Thursday afternoon, as they continue to prepare for the season ahead. The red and blues were up against Spanish Tercera division side El Palo, who play in the third division in Spain.

Young 17 year old Donat Zsoter began the match, going on to make several good movements throughout the game, and also hitting the post with a 34th minute effort. Vidi went ahead after 8 minutes with the goal coming from Oliveira, with several chances following. Torghelle did very well to lay the ball in to the path of Mitrovics, in the 14th minute, with the midfielder placing his shot in to the bottom right hand corner. Haraszti took advantage of an error from the keeper in the 20th minute, after a corner from Oliveira. The Young wide player simply rolled the ball into the empty net after the keeper had spilled the cross. The 33rd minute saw Zsoter win a free kick close to the edge of the box. Mitrovics made no mistake with his strike.

Mitrovics almost hit his third goal four minutes later, but his penalty was saved by the Spanish keeper. Another penalty was awarded seven minutes later, with Torghelle confidently finding the back of the net. Vidi led 6-0 at the break with plenty more to follow in the second period. The second half began with just Zsoter, Uros Nikolics and Tujvel remaining in the team, which began the game. The match continued in the pattern it had began with Vidi going on the attack in search of more goals. Uros Nikolics scored Vidi's seventh goal of the afternoon, before Nemanja Nikolics followed with the first of his five goals! The striker cause many problems for the Spanish defenders with his 45 minute performance. Substitute Paraiba came on to add two goals to this high scoring match. Kovacs, Gyurcso and Kleinheisler, who was playing his first game for the senior team, also found the back of the El Paco net.

Caretaker manager Joan Carrillo said before the game, that the result would not be the most important factor in this friendly. However, he would have been very pleased with his sides attacking display, which made the final result 17-0!
