A 0-0 draw was played out on Thursday in the second leg with Vidi going through 5-1 on aggregate.
MOL Fehervar FC made it through to the second round of the Europa League on Thursday evening. FK Zeta were the opponents at the Pancho Arena and the two sides played out a 0-0 draw following the first leg 5-1 away win in Montenegro. Manager Marko Nikolic made three changes to the side that played in the first leg. Milanov, Fiola and Nikolov took their place on the bench with Petryak, Huszti and Kovacs starting.
The game started at a quick tempo with Huszti sending a ball forward on 7 minutes, which came off Juhasz in the middle for both Stopira and Hadzic to try and make contact, but in the end it was Scepovic who had a chance, but he could not hit the target with his left foot shot. Stopira tried to make contact with a cross a minute later, and the left back caused danger with his header but keeper Akovic was in the right place to collect the ball. Nego sent a ball into the middle after 10 minutes, which ended with Huszti breaking in and shooting over with his right foot. The action continued with 15 minutes on the clock, when a Kovacs cross went across the area and Petryak controlled with his chest at the far post, before sending his left foot shot just over the bar.
Vidi controlled things in the period that followed but without managing to carve out a chance until the 34th minute. Good link up play ended with Petryak taking the ball past his marker and powerfully shooting with his left foot but it did not hit the target. It was around this time that the evening's other important EL Q1, 2nd leg game saw Liechtenstein side FC Vaduz beat their Icelandic opponents to go through 2-1 on aggregate to await Vidi in the next round.
The first half ended with the defenders clearing the ball ahead of Scepovic as the first half whistle blew.
The second 45 minutes started with Vidi seeing plenty of the ball but not creating a chance on the visiting goal. That changed in the 55th minute when Hadzic sent an unexpected 30 meter strike just over the bar. Milanov came on 10 minutes later and was soon in the action. His run and cross from the left was saved by keeper Akovic. Zeta had a chance at the other end on 69 minutes: Milojko had his close range shot saved by Kovacsik, and the rebound fell to Goranovic who headed wide. Nego tried his luck from distance moments later but it did not hit the target.
The visitors were reduced to 10 men when Djordjije Vukcevic was shown his second yellow card of the evening after fouling Petryak. Futacs sent a low shot at goal but again Akovic had no problems dealing with the chance. The referee blew for full time and the score on the night was 0-0.
Vidi comfortably made it through to the next round with a 5-1 aggregate win to face FC Vaduz. The first leg will be played in Hungary on the 25th July with a 20:00pm kick off.
