Videoton won 1-0 against last season's third placed team in the Albanian league.
Videoton FC were in friendly pre-season action on Thursday afternoon against Albanian side KF Skenderbeu. Marko Nikolic fielded the following side in what was his first game in charge since taking over: Horváth Tamás – Nego, Juhász, Mocsi, Tamás Krisztián – Bévárdi, Pátkai, Hadzic, Kovács - Lazovics, Maric.
The game was played in Slovenia with Vidi playing in an all white kit. The first action of the match arrived after 3 minutes. Lazovic took a free kick, which Mocsi just failed to connect with, while a minute later, Danko sent a 25 minute free kick just wide of the Albanian goal. Vidi keeper Horvath was first called into action after 17 minutes when Gavezaj sent a long distance shot, which the keeper dealt well with. The Albanian side came more into the game as the match went on with Namzu's close range shot forcing a good save out of Horvath. Then Gavazaj shot powerfully at goal and Horvath palmed it away for a corner. There were no goals in the first half and the sides went in at the break 0-0.
Videoton had a completely different team out for the second half. Marko Nikolic picked: Kovácsik – Szolnoki, Burka, Fejes, Stopira – Bódi, Barczi, Varga, Suljic – Géresi, Scepvovics. Vidi's Serbian forward did not wait long before being in the thick of the action. The 59th minute saw a shot aimed towards the bottom left corner to give Vidi the lead. Bodi then produced a lovely pass on 70 minutes to release the goalscorer who was close to doubling the score, but a defender rescued things at the last moment. A nice move down the right wing 13 minutes later, saw Szolnoki press forward and his cross was cleared just ahead of the forwards. There was no further action in front of goal and Marko Nikolic saw his side win their first game under his management by 1-0.
