Videoton completed their Spanish training camp with a goaless draw against local second division side Xerez CD. Gyorgy Mezey's side lined up without right back Pal Lazar and midfielder Akos Elek, who were both away with the national side on international duty. However, Zoltan Liptak returned to the heart of the defence after suffering from a small illness at the weekend. The first half was played at a good pace, and it was Vidi who could have gone ahead after just 2 minutes. Alves found himself in a great chance, but he ended up shooting right out the keeper. Nikolics then had further chances to put his side ahead, but without any success. Xerez found it difficult to get out of their own half for the first 30 minutes of this match. It was Vidi who dictated the tempo and style of play. There were further missed chances by both Sandor and Nikolics close to half time.

There were several changes made at the break, with more players getting a chance of 45 minutes from the manager. The 55th minute saw Szakaly just fail to connect with a cross from Milanovics. Then Gosztonyi curled a freekick, 5 minutes later, which just went over the top right hand post. The match ended without producing any goals, in what was Videoton's last friendly match of their stay at the Spanish training camp.
