A 3-1 away win at Haladas, gives Vidi a 6-1 aggregate cup win
Videoton scored three goals away from home to progress into the quarter finals. There was never any doubt that Vidi would go through. The attention now turns to Saturday's home league game with MTK.

Vidi booked their place in the next round with a comfortable 3-1 win, away at Szombathely Haladas. Already leading 3-0 from the first leg, which was played at the back end of 2010, Gyorgy Mezey's side knew that they had to keep things tight at the back, to secure a place in the next round. The manager chose to rest several first team players, including keeper Mladen Bozsovics, midfielder Akos Elek and Brazilian forward Andre Alves.
Nemanja Nikolics made the tie safe after 37 minutes, when he scored Videoton's first goal, making the aggregate score 4-1 at that point. However, Haladas levelled right on half time through Gyurjan, to give the home side a small ray of hope. A penalty from Dusan Vasziljevics gave Vidi the lead on the night, and then substitute Laszlo Lencse made it 3-1 on 69 minutes, giving Haladas no way back. Vidi can now look forward to their Monicomp league division one match against MTK, at the Sostoi stadium on Saturday. Wednesday evening's cup win was a professional job and Gyorgy Mezey's side did exactly what they had to do.
