Videoton produced a professional performance in the sunshine of Fehervar on Wednesday afternoon. Leading 1-0 from the first leg, thanks to a Zoltan Liptak goal, Vidi took the game to Kaposvar, who were never really in the match. The breakthrough came on eleven minutes, when Nikolics unselfishly passed to Vasziljevics who could not miss from close range. That made the score 2-0 on aggregate, which meant that Kaposvar needed three goals at that stage. Giant defender Tamas Vasko headed in number two, doing well to meet a cross from the left, which gave keeper Kovacs no chance. The half time lead of 2-0 was always going to be enough for the red and blues. So it proved as Videoton pressed forward looking to create more chances and score even more goals.

If anything, they looked a better side in the second half, with Vasziljevics scoring his second of the match, and the goal of the game. He curled the ball beyond the keeper to make it 3-0. It was a good individual performance from the midfielder, who was man of the match. There was still time for a fourth, which came in injury time, when striker Nikolics was released, and he ran clean through on goal, before slipping the ball beyond Kovacs, to round off a good day's work. The win means that Vidi have made it into the Hungarian cup final, where they will meet Kecskemet, who managed to beat ZTE 5-1 on aggregate. The scene is now set for an exciting cup final, with Videoton still very much on course to pick up a league and cup double.
