VAR and referee Bognár together could not beat Vidi

In the 14th round of the OTP Bank Liga we hosted Ferencváros at 20:00 in the MOL Arena Sósto. This time Szabolcs Huszti went for the starting line-up of Kovács D. - Nego, Serafimov, Fiola, Stopira - Pokorny, Lednev - Kastrati, Houri, Schön - Kodro, while RBD celebrated their 30th birthday with a spectacular live performance before the starting whistle.

In the first minute, Dibusz was at work, as Kastrati's cross was headed at the goal by Kodro from 17 metres out, but the visitors' goalkeeper was able to save. Four minutes later, Houri's cross was blocked by Schön. The first FTC shot was Traore's in the 7th minute, but it did not threaten the goal of Kovács. In the 9th minute, Kastrati shot from 14 metres with the left foot that came back off the bar and then Houri's long-range shot was saved by Dibusz. In the 14th minute, Ryan Mmaee's penalty gave the visitors the lead, referee Bognár awarded a penalty with the help of VAR after Botka's cross touched Lednev's hand (0-1).

Twenty minutes into the game, Mercier's header was saved by Kovács, and a minute later our goalkeeper made a great save when the Ferencváros midfielder again tried to get a shot away from a sharp angle. Ten minutes later Schön was in a shooting position, Knoester handled the ball inside the Ferencváros penalty area, VAR also reviewed this situation, but Bognár did not award a penalty this time, and shortly afterwards R. Mmaee pulled Lednev back for seconds, but Bohdan stayed on his feet and the yellow card was not given afterwards. In the 38th minute, Kovács again made a great save when he collected the ball from Zachariassen's feet after Mercier's cross, and Nego made a great save from Pászka. The action conitnued with Dani Kovács saving Ryan Mmaee's close-range but weak shot. With two minutes left in the first half, Nego's cross was just inches wide. Laidouni's chance was the only real effort of the half.

The second half started without any substitutions and we equalised in the 53rd minute! Five minutes later we were behind again, Besic took a corner, and shortly afterwards we were out of luck, Ryan Mmaee stuck a powerful shot into the top left corner from 15 yards (1-2). 

An hour into the game, Kodro headed towards goal from Houri's corner, the supporters were celebrating, but Dibusz pulled off a great save to clear the ball off the goal line. Four minutes later, the Bosnian striker again tried with a header, but this time he missed the target. In the 73rd minute, FTC substitute Marquinhos had a promising chance, then Szabolcs Huszti made substitutions, Szabolcs Schön was replaced by Palko Dárdai, and a minute later Lednev's long-range shot was off target. Two minutes later, our Ukrainian midfielder tried again, but Dibusz did not have to save. In the 77th minute, Bumba came on for Kastrati.

The game was 82 minutes old when Ryan Mmaee's header from an FTC corner was cleared. Two minutes later, Zachariassen had another chance on goal and then Ákos Szendrei came on for Lednev. We equalised again in the 89th! Dárdai burst into the middle of the pitch and powerfully found the net (2-2)! In the four minutes of extra time the score remained the same, the teams shared the points. The next game will be on Wednesday evening at Szusza Ferenc Stadion against Újpest.
