Attila Fiola: "Every match against Ferencváros is a prestige match"

Our team is preparing for the home match against Ferencváros on Sunday at 20:00, but with our team captain Attila Fiola, we first looked back to the memorable success against FTC on the 27th August 2017.

"Before the August 2017 meeting, I suffered a serious injury in May, just before the "championship final" against Ferencváros, which I had to miss because of that. It was a good time, we were ahead of Fradi at the time, unfortunately this has since been reversed. But by August I had recovered and was able to play again, we won 3-1, so that game in Felcsút is a good memory. In addition, the match was interrupted twice due to a power cut, something I had never experienced before or since in my career, so it was a special match in that respect as well."

We then turned to Sunday's meeting, where Fityó said that they would like to improve on the recent run of games against Ferencváros.

"Every match against Ferencváros is a prestige match, they usually dominate all their matches, I'm sure that they will come to Fehérvár with the same goal. Fortunately we are also on the back of a win now, I am confident that we can continue this series and get a good result this weekend. Last week we had a full week to prepare against Honvéd, you could feel that the team worked well then, as the head coach mentioned. Now we have a full week to prepare again, the win at the weekend gave the team a big boost and the three points also eased the tension caused by the defeat. Everyone has been working hard this week, I'm confident that this will pay off on the pitch and that we can now play with a bit more freedom."
