The views of the two managers

Gyorgy Mezey spoke shortly after the final whistle

Both managers spoke shortly after the Hungarian cup final, which ended 3-2 to Kecskemet.

Gyorgy Mezey: "I would like to start by congratulating my colleague on his sides win in the Hungarian cup final. I also thought that they fully deserved the win. It is difficult to talk about the match. My team played with unbelievably little motivation, which is all I can say at the moment"

Tomiszlav Szivics: "Today is a big day in the life of Kecskemet. I could feel that we would manage to win, which is why I commented before the game. I do not want to appear big headed, or clever, but I thought that today's game was won in Fehervar, when we drew 2-2 there in the league. We played football then without any strain on our backs, and I could see that we could have a chance if we could play like that. I said the same to the players. The most important was for them to believe that they could do it. We were in an easier situation that our opponents, as we had nothing to lose. We went out onto the pitch with this in our minds, and luckily we began the match well. That was the secret to our success."
