The manager believes that Vidi will win

Gyorgy Mezey takes his Videoton side to Budapest for the Hungarian cup final against Kecskemet. A win over them will secure Vidi the league and cup double.

Gyorgy Mezey: My first task was to create a championship winning side, which would qualify for the European stage. I managed to do this together with my staff. I would add that the management of the club also made this possible for this to happen. The cup is a little bit different. I think that we are ready and prepared to win the Hungarian cup. The team have been a real role model in the way they have worked throughout the year. Perhaps I have never managed a group of players who were so together and were a great bunch. That is why I think that it is right to believe that we will win the cup. The events of the last few days have not made things easy for us. It is a subject which plays an interest in the players, as to what will happen with their manager. I would simply close this episode as follows: Football has these parts in them, and the professional world needs to get used to this, and the players here will have several managers in their careers.
