Report: We won in Kispest with Kodro's goal!

We beat Budapest Honvéd 1-0 at the Bozsik Arena.

In the 13th round of the OTP Bank Liga our team played as guests of Budapest Honvéd on Saturday afternoon at the Bozsik Arena. Szabolcs Huszti went for the starting eleven of Kovács - Nego, Serafimov, Fiola, Heister - Pokorny, Lednev - Kastrati, Houri, Schön - Kodro. Palkó Dárdai was out of the squad due to a muscle injury, Kasper Larsen due to an ankle injury, Funsho and Szilveszter Hangya due to illness, but two talented young Vidi II players, Bence Kovács and Zsombor Menyhárt, also took their place on the bench.

The first ten minutes of the match were not very exciting, but in the 13th minute Schön set up Kodró, who pushed the ball in from the corner of the penalty area and then fired a dazzling shot from 15 meters into the top corner, Tujvel had no chance to save (0-1). Six minutes later, the goal scorer's initiative saw Kastrati make a move on the right flank, Schön was on hand to cross but he fired the ball towards goal from close range. In the 20th minute, Lednev's free-kick was headed away by Tujvel ahead of Serafimov.

In the 29th minute Lednev took a shot from 25 meters, the shot was strong enough, but it was heading towards the middle, and our former goalkeeper was able to save it again. Thirty-three minutes into the match, Serafimov again jumped highest after a point-blank kick, this time Tujvel didn't have to save. The home side then threatened from a corner kick, Lukic trying an acrobatic shot from 17 yards but missing the target. In the 38th minute, Zsótér's shot was better, but Serafimov cleared in front of goal. In the dying moments of the half, the former midfielder tried a long-range effort but Kovács did not have to save and after a minute of extra time, Józef Erdős blew for the end of first half.

At the break, the coaches did not change and the second half started with Lednev's shot after a nice cross from Kastrati, Tujvel might have been beaten but one of the full-backs cleared for a corner. In the 50th minute, after a defensive error, Samperio outmuscled Kovács and passed to Lukic, but first Fiola and then Serafimov made great tackles to clear the danger. We had to wait a good quarter of an hour for the next situation, when Lukic shot at the goal from 16 metres, but Kovács saved confidently. In the 71st minute, Heister burst forward and fired a powerful shot on goal from an acute angle, Tujvel saved well. Three minutes later Lednev was replaced by Makarenko.

In the 80th minute, a newcomer was introduced, Kastrati was replaced by 18-year-old Zsombor Menyhárt, who has been playing for Vidi since the age of ten. With six minutes of normal time left, Kovács made a smart save from a close range shot by Kocsis, and then Tujvel's foot saved after Makarenko had been in a great position. In the first minute of injury time, Kocsis was active again, but his header was off target, then Barnabás Bese came on for Lyes Houri and the scoreline remained the same, we took the three points in the Bozsik Arena.
