Paulo Sousa saw his side more than match their Belgium opponents on Thursday evening : There is no sense of disappointment in me, or in the team. The things that we planned beforehand, we managed to more than produce in this season's Europa League series. We also showed today just what we are capable of doing, as we managed to get on top of our opponents. I would like to congratulate the players, who played with great maturity. There was a small error leading up to their goal, but we dictated play besides that. We also created several chances, and we did not allow Genk to play their own game. We deserved to win, but there is no doubt that we need to work on converting the chances that come our way. Genk have been playing for much longer in these types of European games, but we were more than a match for them despite that. My players have developed a great deal, and they are getting more respect abroad. They managed to stand on their feet today as we played a different formation. We now have a harder task of going through to the next stage, as fate is no longer in our own hands. We will work hard in the time remaining to beat Lisbon. : I am satisfied with the game, even though I was a bit worried for the players as we knew how important this game was. We wanted to go back home from here with points, so that we would not have to rely on the final game to calculate. It is especially good that we won in the end. We need the international experience in games such as these, and it is very important looking ahead. Our final game will not be a gala match despite us having progressed tonight. We will need to concentrate as we would like to win that match. We are not preparing with our B side for the Basel game. Videoton FC-K.R.C. Genk Author: David Rechnitzer
