Dunaujvaros did really well last season in the second division, but they did not manage to begin the new first division season well.
Dunaújváros PASE ended in second place last season in the second division. They played 30 league matches, winning 19, drawing 5 and losing the remaining 6. They also scored 50 goals during that campaign while conceding 25 at the other end. Top goalscorer was Peter Urbin with 22 goals (15 for his previous side Balmazujvaros) and veteran Zoltan Boor was also among the goals.
Dunaujvaros did not get off to the best of starts in the 2014-2015 season, suffering a 3-0 defeat at Honved, with Villam being sent off in the 26th minute. They managed to keep the score level until the 75th minute, before Honved hit 3 late goals against Barna Dobos' side.
The last first division game between Videoton FC and Dunaujvaros was 11 years ago, when goals from Szabo, Korsos, Pomper and Magasfoldi gave Vidi a 4-0 win. They were then known by their previous name of Dunaferr SE.
Saturday's opponents fielded the following starting line-up against Honved: Milinte - Villám, Gavric, Lázár, Csehi, Böőr, Petneházi, Godslove, Lopez, Jakab, Szekeres. Used substitutes were Peric, Kocsis and Sóron.
