It was a return to league action after a long break due to international football. Vidi were up against an inform side who had not lost in the previous 6 matches. Paks manager Aurel Csertoi had seen his team remain unbeaten on their home pitch this season, so it was never going to be an easy game for Vidi. Hungarian legend Ferenc Puskas was remembered on what would have been his 90th birthday before the game.
The game started slowly with the first chance arriving after 10 minutes. Suljic curled the ball at goal from 17 meters, which brought a good stop from home keeper Molnar. Vidi continued to press forward with Lazovic taking a free kick from the side towards goal, which came off Juhasz, but again Molnar was well placed to deal with it. The home team had their first chance after 18 minutes when Vernes on the right tried to bring a team mate in to play but Kovacsik saved well.
The biggest chance of the game came on the half hour mark. Lazovic sent a ball in following a free kick, which was flicked on by Paks' Zachan and the ball clipped the inside of the post and fell kindly in the hands of Molnar. Kovacsik pulled off an acrobatic save after 33 minutes after a free kick. The Vidi keeper managed to tip the ball from under the bar. That was the last moment of action from the first period and the teams went in at the break with the game goaless.
Vidi stepped up a gear after the break. A long throw from Stopira after 47 minutes ended with the ball at Juhasz, who fell to the ground inside the box in suspicious circumstances, but the referee kept his whistle in his pocket. Vidi's Cape Verde defender was again in the thick of the action minutes later. He shot from the left wing towards goal, which Molnar could only punch away from danger.
Danko Lazovic had a shot from 15 meters after 69 minutes, with a volley at goal, but the Paks keeper managed to save the effort. Substitute Istvan Kovacs then showed good skill, and the home defence cleared the ball for a corner. Lazovic tried with a volley towards the end and there was also time for another free kick. The later went just the wrong side of the post.
Paks defended their unbeaten home run in the league, while Vidi picked up a point. Vasas are the visitors to the Pancho Arena next weekend.
