Both team managers spoke about the friendly match shortly after the final whistle.
José Gomes: We played well once again against a very strong side. We had to put more energy in our defending as a result of us giving the ball away quickly when we attacked. When we come up against strong sides such as we did today, who are capable of putting together many passes and holding on to the ball, it requires a great deal of effort to win back the ball. We managed to deal well with their attacks during the first half. The picture in the second half was totally different. We had much more of the ball and had a better control of the midfield. We also had 2-3 big chances to score, but we could not convert those into goals. We then conceded a goal shortly after one of those missed chances. The players all received 45 minutes during the first training camp, but during the second one, there were some players who played for 60 minutes and others who got half an hour. Today's match saw some players out on the pitch for the entire game. We achieved our aims in the match today. I feel that we are on a good road in order to reach what we would like to in Spring.
Leonid Slutsky: Videoton FC are a good team and we were counting on a tough game today. We had some problems during the 90 minutes, but we played well overall. I feel that today's match helped us as we continue to prepare.
