José Gomes: Fate is no longer in our hands

Both managers spoke to the media shortly after the final whistle on Sunday.

José Gomes: "We started the match well playing organized football, while creating plenty of chances, but we could not convert them. It was a different game in the second half with the match picture changing. There were goalscoring chances for both sides. When a team misses so many chances like we did against Mezokovesd, it makes the job that much harder. The home side had two-three dangerous counter attacks as well. I am sure that if Mezokovesd would have played as they did today throughout the whole season, they would have stayed in the first division. We have to now win our last match and fate is no longer in our hands anymore."

Tóth László: "It is hard to talk about this match, as in a different situation I would be satisfied with a point against Videoton. Mezokovesd are at the end of a hard year, and the same can be said about Videoton. The referee made some bad errors against us sadly. I felt that the match official could have awarded us two penalties today. It was down to the referee that we did not win today.
