The two managers came to an agreement on Friday afternoon.
Videoton manager José Gomes and Hungarian international manager Attila Pinter met at the Sostoi stadium on Friday, just before the Vidi squad headed off for their weekend league fixture at Pecs. Both managers spoke to Vidi.hu following the near one hour meeting between the pair.
"It is in everyone’s interest that the national team performs well, so today's meeting was with that in mind, and also to allow for a better relationship between the club and the FA looking into the future. We spoke about the working cooperation, and the meeting went well. I am convinced that these meetings are very important for both parties" - commented the Videoton manager.
"It was a good natured meeting with José Gomes, where I said to him what elements we practiced over January, when the Vidi players were then unable to take part in the training camp. We also spoke about the importance of these international squad get togethers. I received the support of the Videoton manager, as it is in the interest of Hungarian football on the whole if the national team is successful" - said Attila Pinter.
