Team captains pick José Gomes as their manager of 2013

The hatharom.com internet site chooses their best manager of each month with Vidi's head coach coming out on top.

The team captains have chosen José Gomes as their best manager of 2013, under a poll conducted by hatharom.com. The winning coach was already decided by the middle of the autumn season, following the winning run over the spring season, coupled with a good August, which gave José Gomes such a lead, that he was hands on to pick up their award - according to www.hatharom.com website.

There was an open contest for second and third place with Ricardo Moniz being the main competitor to José Gomes for a long time, but there were also good votes for both Honved's Marco Rossi and Ferenc Horvath of Paks. These votes came from the captains of each team in the first division on a monthly basis.  The September winner was DVTK boss Tomiszlav Szivics, who came from virtually nowhere to end up top, which was repeated again in October. That was as a result of both Moniz and Rossi losing popularity during that period. That saw the Diosgyőr manager close the gap with the leaders. He produced the most balanced performance at that time. November ended with Debrecen manager Elemer Kondas looking down on the others, which saw him go up in the table. His sides great run over the second part of the autumn season saw him overtake Szivics to get third place.
