The Vidi international will join up with his national team on the 5th June. Macedonia have a qualifying match in Slovakia on the 14th June.
Vidi forward Mirko Ivanovski has been called up to the Macedonian national squad. Ivanovski will link up with his fellow countrymen on the 5th June in Skopje. They squad will begin their preparations for the important qualifying game in Slovenia on the 14th June. Macedonia are 5th in their group while Slovakia enjoy a 100% record to lead Group C.
"I have not played too many games for Vidi over the spring season, so perhaps from one point it is a surprise that I have been called up to the national team. It is not a surprise from the other point of view, as I have regularly been called up in recent years. It is true that I have been playing more in recent weeks and have scored a goal. I am sure that this played a part in the national team boss picking me. We will be playing a very good Slovakia side, and that game will be in Slovakia so things will not be easy. We lost 2-0 at home to them in November and they have 15 points from their 5 games. We know just how strong they will be. Naturally we will not go in to the game as favourites, but I am sure that we will fight to get a good result from the first minute until the final one" - commented Mirko Ivanovski to vidi.hu.
