Important dates for the 2024/2025 season

Next Monday, 17 June, our team will start the summer pre-season period for the new season. In the following article we have collected the most important dates of the 2024/2025 football season.

Important dates in the OTP Bank Liga NB I, MOL Hungarian Cup and Nations League:

- NB I opening round: 27/28 July 2024.

- Until 31 August, there will be an NB I round every weekend. At the beginning of September, there will be a two-week international break, with the next NB I round on the weekend of 21 September.

- In September, the Hungarian national team will play two Nations League matches. On 7 September Hungary will play Germany and on 10 September they will host Bosnia.

- As in previous years, the 12 top teams will battle it out in the 3rd round of the MOL Hungarian Cup. The 3rd round will take place on the weekend of 14 September.

- In October, we will have another national team break, hosting the Netherlands in Budapest on 11 October and Bosnia on 14 October.

• The 4th round of the MOL Hungarian Cup will take place on 30 October.

- In November, the Hungarian national team will also play two Nations League matches. On 16 November they will play in the Netherlands, and on 19 November the last NL match of the year against the Germans at the Puskás Arena.

- The last NB I round of the calendar year will take place on the weekend of 14 December, after which the winter break for the NB I teams will begin.

- In 2025, the OTP Bank Liga NB I will resume on the weekend of 1 February.

- The 5th round of the MOL Hungarian Cup will be held on 26 February 2025.

- The Hungarian national team will play for the first time in 2025 from 17-25 March, but the exact targets they will be fighting for next spring will depend on the results of the autumn's Nations League group matches.

- Two MOL Hungarian Cup rounds will be held next April. The quarter-finals will be played on 2 April and the semi-finals on 23 April.

- The final of the MOL Hungarian Cup will take place on 14 May 2025 at the Puskás Arena.

- The final 33rd round of the OTP Bank Liga NB I will be played on the weekend of 24 May 2025

There will be no midweek matches in the OTP Bank Liga NB I in the 2024/2025 season, but there are two reserve match days in case a NB I team or teams need to postpone a match. The two reserve matchdays are 4 December 2024 (Wednesday) and 5 February 2025 (Wednesday).

Key dates in the Conference League:

- 1st and 2nd qualifying rounds draw: 18-19 June 2024 - Vidi will enter the second qualifying round, so on 19 June we will know our opponents.

- Draw for the 3rd qualifying round: 22 July 2024.

- Play-off round draw: 5 August 2024.

- Group stage draw: 30 August 2024.

- Play-off round draw: 20 December 2024.

- Draw for the round of eight, quarter-finals and semi-finals: 21 February 2025.

Playing dates of the qualifying rounds:

- 1st qualifying round matches: 11 July 2024 and 18 July 2024.

- Qualifying Round 2 matches: 25 July and 1 August 2024.

- Qualifying Round 3: 8 August and 15 August 2024.

- Play-off round matches: 22 and 29 August 2024.
