Vidi's midfielder and the Ferencvaros keeper took part in a joint press conference ahead of Wednesday's Hungarian cup final in Budapest.
Representatives of Videoton, Ferencvaros and the Hungarian FA took part in a press conference on Monday at the Groupama Arena, ahead of the cup final. Adam Gyurcso represented Vidi, while Denes Dibusz turned out for Wednesday's cup opponents.
"I have played in the final of both the League Cup and Super Cup with mixed feelings. This was due to us winning one and also losing. We are now again standing at the gates of a big possibility, which could see us win the Hungarian cup at the home of Fradi. This has given all of us that extra motivation. The two best current teams in Hungary will meet in front of hopefully many supporters. We are really looking forward to the game, and I am sure that everyone will give their maximum. Denes Dibusz and I know each other from youth football, and also from the senior national team. I also scored against him when I was playing in the colours of Kecskemet and he was in goal for Pecs. I would say that I like playing against him. Denes has done really well for Fradi, playing very confidently all season, so things will not be easy against him. I do not think that it will count that much that we will be playing away, and Ferencvaros on their own pitch. We are a good enough team to solve this situation. All of the Vidi players would really like this success and we will do all we can to get it" - commented Adam Gyurcso.
"I have not played in a final yet, so I am looking forward to Wednesday's final with excitement. Ferencvaros have not won the Hungarian cup since 2004, so the time is right. The aim before the season was to win both the league and the cup. We did not manage to win the former as we could not catch Vidi, which is exactly why the cup is extremely important. The team is ready for the task in hand. Adam is an exceptional player with a good kicking technique. He is also very quick and dribbles well and has blended in well with the present Vidi. He confirmed his ability when he was playing for KTE, so he deserves to be part of a big team. The autumn game between us ended 0-0, but it was Vidi that dominated. Things need to be the opposite on our home pitch on Wednesday. We would like to direct things in that game. Perhaps there will not be too many goals and it can also happen that the final will be decided by a penalty shootout. We have also prepared for this possibility. I can calmly say that we have been waiting for this game all year, and we would like to show that we are better than Vidi. The fact that we will be playing at home in front of many supporters should give us that extra plus" - commented FTC keeper Denes Dibusz.
