Győr will arrive at the Sostoi on the back of two defeats

Videoton face third place Győri ETO on Sunday in the OTP League

Győri ETO are currently third in the OTP league table, which last happened after the fourth round of games this season. They have been mostly in second place eversince, sitting just behind leaders Debrecen. They suffered their first set back with a defeat at Disogyőr after 10 games, but picked up to remain in contention. They then stalled against Debrecen, before picking up a further two defeats during 2011. The first of those was away at Pecs, before suffering the same fate at home to Honved. They went into the winter break in second place as a result, with four points splitting them with the leaders. They did not have the best of starts to the spring season, slipping up away at Haladas, before going out of the Hungarian cup 5-1 on aggregate. That forced their management to make the decision to replace manager Aurel Csertoi.

Attila Pinter returned to the club in his place, and that coincided with an upturn in form for the Győri ETO club. They went on to win five matches in a row, but they have lost their last two matches to fall to third in the table, with Vidi overtaking them in the process. They have scored 19 goals and conceded 10 since Pinter took over nine matches ago.

The most recent game was at home to Debrecen, and they went into that match knowing that a win would see them just 2 points behind them, with three games to go. However, they lost 2-1 making it very difficult for them to achieve their dream of winning the league title. They are now 8 points adrift of the top team, while Vidi picked up an away win at Kecskemet on Saturday. Vidi and Győr go into Sunday's game level on points, with both sides having won 18 games, drawn 3 and lost 6, but the red and blues enjoy a better goal difference.
