The two managers gave their thoughts following Vidi's 3-0 home win.
Gabor Marton:
"We’re past a great match tonight with my team playing good football from the first second to the last. I feel the end result doesn’t really reflect the picture of the match. We managed to create a lot of chances in the previous matches as well, but I don't think we had more than we did against Kisvarda tonight. Unfortunately, we did not convert the chances that we created, but nonetheless, all my appreciation goes to the players, as they produced fantastic gameplay. We managed to finish this otherwise confusing autumn season nicely. In the first part of the season, we lost an awful lot of points for not being able to finish the matches, even though we had the opportunity to do so almost every time. All in all, I can’t say I’m happy with the half season behind us, obviously we made mistakes too, I made mistakes, we lost important points, so I look back with a little disappointment. When we started the season, I calculated that we would have more points by now than we finally managed to get. If we look back at most of our matches, we can see that we had every chance to end up with far more points going into the short winter break. In the spring, we definitely need to move forward compared to ourselves. We weren’t outplayed once, but we conceded a lot of avoidable goals from set-piece situations. If we can play football like this today against Kisvarda, our target should be to play this way throughout the spring, even though I am aware that it is almost impossible to play so well in every match, but we must strive for that!"
Attila Supka:
"We knew in advance that a difficult match was waiting for us at the home of MOL Fehervar FC, who are an extremely good team. In recent weeks, like most teams, we have struggled with a lot of problems, as we have the number one enemy, the virus. Because of this, I couldn’t count on more of my key players today. Unfortunately, we couldn’t play the game we are capable of right now. In the first half, Vidi came at us a lot, the home team worked out a lot of situations. From the middle of the half, I felt like we managed to straighten up, we also had more dangerous attacks, but it’s also true that we couldn’t really get into a situation. We conceded a goal at the very beginning of the second half, although we were preparing at half time that we might be able to leave with a point, but in the end it didn't happen. However, this is also our team, the same team who previously remained unbeaten in many games and picked up important wins in the league. I am confident that we will be able to organise ourselves during the winter break and we will be able to produce a good half season again in the spring."
