FK Partizan - Videoton FC 2-2 (0-2)
Videoton's fourth pre-season friendly of the summer was never going to be an easy one, as they were up against FK Partizan, who have just won the Serbian title for the fifth consecutive time.
Vidi's line up included former FK Partizan players in goalkeeper Bozsovics and midfield player Mitrovics. The game kicked off after a slight delay, after the match officials had been involved in a car accident close to the stadium, but luckily they were unharmed. The match began with both teams taking the game to their opponent, with lovely football being played. There were plenty of chances, with Partizan looking dangerous from two early counter attacks, which could have resulted in them taking the lead. It was Videoton who went ahead after 22 minutes following a delightful ball by Mitrovics, which fell nicely into the path of Nikolics, who calmly side footed the ball in to the corner of the goal, with the keeper given no chance. Vidi went on to play, enjoying more of the ball following that opening goal. There were more chances before the second goal came right on half time. It was the same combination once again, with Mitrovics curling a lovely ball to Nikolics, who controlled the ball before finding the back of the net.
Both sides made plenty of changes after the break. FK Partizan quickly got themselves back in to the match in the 48th minute with an unfortunate goal. Bozsovics made two good saves, but the rebound fell to Babic, who made no mistake from close range. Both manager's continued to make substitutions as the game went on, which resulted in the game not being as continuous as it had been in the first half. The Serbian champions had more of the ball in the second 45 minutes, but Vidi still had their chances. It was the Serbians who were celebrating their equalizing goal after 80 minutes. Markovic Sasa hit a great shot from 22 meters, which flew over Tujvel and into the back of his goal. Videoton produced a very good first half, while the Serbian champions managed to draw level in the second period.
