According to UEFA, our team's first EL match this year will be led by 33-year-old Timotheos Christofi from Cyprus on Thursday 27 August at the MOL Arena Sosto. He has not refereed many matches on the international stage so far, according to the statistics of the referees statistics site worldreferee.com, he has officiated in two EL qualifiers and a CL qualifier so far, but has never refereed a Hungarian team before.
His assistants will be Michael Soteriou and Marios Kalogirou, and Kyriakos Christodoulou will be the reserve referee in the EL match against Bohemian FC.
