Bence Bedi joins Vidi

The 27 year old midfielder arrives in Székesfehérvár having played 141-game NB I matches.

Bence Bedi was born on the 14th November 1996 in Nagykanizsa. He started playing football in Letenye SE, from there he was transferred to the youth team of Nagykanizsa, and from August 2011 he continued his career in the youth team of ZTE FC. He has scored 12 goals in 135 games in the second division. He played in all of the 2018/2019 NB II season's championship matches and was a key member of ZTE's team that won the title and gained promotion.

He scored 7 goals in 141 games in the NB I. In 2023, he was a member of the team that won the MOL Hungarian Cup, which allowed him to make his debut in the European Conference League. In the 2023/2024 season, he helped ZTE as team captain and then as vice-captain. He is a one-time Hungarian U21 national team player.

"I spent a long time at ZTE who were my first club in senior football. I have been with them for a long time and I felt that now is the time for a change of club. I wanted to try myself in a new environment, which is why I made the decision to change. I received a good offer from Vidi and I am aware of them and I saw in their games last season that they performed well. They just missed out on a top 3 finish but it was still a good season. They also qualified for the Conference League. This is a good opportunity for me and I am pleased to link up with the club. It was a great experience to play in the Conference League with ZTE and I was very motivated to do well. I am familiar with most of the Vidi players having played against them many times. Nicola Serafimov was also my teammate in the past so I do know the players here. My main position is in central midfield but I have played at left back in the past. However, I would be happier to play in midfield if I can and help the team with goals and assists. We will shortly head off for pre-season training camp and that will give me the chance to get to know the players and coaching staff well." - commented Bedi after signing his contract with us.

Bence Bedi will wear the 27 shirt in our team, we wish him good luck in the red and blue!
