"The players believed that they could turn things around"

Manager Paulo Sousa spoke about the match with MTK, shortly after the final whistle

Paulo Sousa: We began the game well, and created the first serious chance of the match, but could not score from that. MTK went ahead from their first chance following a slight defensive error. We continued to play with good intensity, even if we the game slowed down towards the end of the first half. We changed things around at half time, and we looked sharper as a result, as we went on to carve out several chances. Our first goal then came from the penalty spot. The players felt right until the end that they could turn the game around in their favour. However, you have to score from the chances created, and we will have to move forward in this area. I was satisfied with the way we played and with the performance. I would also like to congratulate MTK.

Garami József: We were fortunate to score three goals in today's game. We played well in the first half, but could not really cope with Videoton's three man defence in the second half. I felt that we ran the game down, and then scored a lovely goal from a counter attack. Sandor then scored a lovely goal to complete the scoreline. I would like to congratulate MTK for the way they played.
