Renato Neto joins Vidi on a loan deal

The midfielder has joined Videoton from Sporting on a one year loan

Renato Neto was born on the 27th September 1991 in the Brazilian city of Camacan. He began his footballing career with Academia Catarinense de Futebol, before a move to Portuguese giants Sporting, at the young age of 16. He then went on to make his debut for the Lisbon club in 2009, going on to make a total of 8 appearances. Neto then moved to Belgium side Cercle Brugge for the 2010-2011 season, on a loan deal, where he played a total of 36 league games for the Brugge club. The young midfielder also managed to score 4 goals during that period. He made a further 18 appearances for them, scoring a single goal in the process.

"I know that Videoton were champions in 2011, and they are a good side, with very good players. The club has continued to develop along with the team itself. I have listened to the plans and find what manager Paulo Sousa has said really attractive. I feel that there are serious possibilities at Videoton, which is why I have decided to accept the club's offer. I hope that we will go on to achieve serious success together, and I can honestly say that I am really pleased to be here" - concluded new loan signing Renato Neto.
