Balázs Tóth was born on the 4th September 1997 in Kazincbarcika, where he learned the basics of football, and then joined Puskás Academy in 2008. For one year, between 2012 and 2013, he was a member of Vidi's U17 team, playing together with Csaba Spandler, who returned to our club in the summer. In the 2018/2019 season, he kept goal on loan at NB II Csákvár. He made his debut in the top flight in March 2020, in a league match against Mezőkövesd. In the 2020/2021 season, he was voted the best goalkeeper in the OTP Bank Liga by National Sport journal, based on his results. In July 2021, he made his international debut at senior level in the qualifying round of the Europa Conference League (he also played in the UEFA Youth League). In the NB I, he has played in 76 league matches, 23 of which has seen him keep a clean sheet.
