The visitors started the match more actively, but in the 4th minute Acolatse's 9-metre attempt was easily saved by Veselinov. The minutes continued to be filled with the action mainly in the middle of the pitch, and in the 21st minute another attempt from the Miskolc team was registered: Sanicanin took a shot from 35 metres out, but his ball went over the crossbar.

In the 38th minute, we had a long period of excitement as referee Csaba Pintér came out to call a VAR after Serafimov and Gera had tangled in the penalty area of the home side. The referee eventually awarded a free kick outwards after a thorough check. Four minutes later, Gera went up for a header and collided with Veselinov inside the five-yard box for a foul. After the incident, the players squared up to each other and the referee gave Gera and Spandler a yellow card each.

In the first half's injury time, Mátyás Kovács forced a free-kick from Milicevic, his ball was headed at goal by Pető, who only just missed. It looked like the teams would go into the half-time break with a 0-0 draw, but at the very end of the three-minute extra time, Franchu rolled a corner into the middle, Sanicanin rose highest and nodded into the net (0-1).

At the break, Babos stayed in the dressing room and was replaced by Simut Mario, who later became the main character, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. In the 49th minute Rakonjac's 15-metre shot was saved by Veselinov, and soon after Bényei had a shot from 16 meters out blocked by Serafimov. In the 56th minute we came very close to equalizing, after a pass from Pető, Mátyás Kovács powered a shot from 11 meters to goal, Odyntsov made a great save.

In the 68th minute we equalised thanks to two substitutes: Gradisar kept the ball, broke forward and played it to the right to Simut, who stuck a great goal into the far top corner from a sharp angle from 12 metres (1-1).

Three minutes after our equaliser, Klimovich's close-range chance was saved by Veszelinov. In the 73rd minute, Gradisar burst onto Stefanelli's right-wing cross, was slightly tripped and couldn't direct his header towards goal. A great chance missed! As did the other side five minutes later: after a series of attempts from Edomwonyi, he shot from inside the box failed to go in.

Time was running out and everyone was aware that if neither team managed to decide in normal time we would go through to extra time, there would be 2x15 minutes still to play. However, the players from Fehérvár did not want to go into overtime and in the minutes of extra time Gradisar fought for the ball inside the box, where one of the Miskolc defenders touched the ball with his hand - and after a VAR review the referee awarded a penalty. Our Slovenian striker stood behind the ball and although the penalty was saved by Odyntsov, Gradisar kicked the rebound into the goal from close range (2-1).

With the score unchanged, our team qualified for the last 16 of the MOL Hungarian Cup. The draw will be held on Thursday evening to decide our next opponent in the cup.
