Viktor Kassai to referee Ferencvaros match

The experienced match official is one of the top in the world today

Videoton travel to the capital on Sunday to face Ferencvaros, who have begun the new season in disappointing form. Viktor Kassai will referee the all important league game at the Albert stadium, and as Hungary's current top referee, he took control of matches at last summer's World cup finals in South Africa. Kassai was also the man in the middle in last season's memorable 5-0 away win at Ferencvaros. However, he capped a good year by refereeing the Champions League finals, which was the peak of his career so far.

Viktor Kassai was born in Tatabanya, and went on to take his refereeing badge in 1990. He joined the list of match officials in 1999, and has been refereeing ganes since 2003. He has also refereed the Argentina v Nigeria Olympic games finals in Beijing, as well as the Spain v Germany World cup match in South Africa.
