We started the match more actively and the VAR had a job to do in the 8th minute, as after a good throw-in from Huszti, which was worth a corner, Melnyik shot at goal, the ball hit Dominik Nagy's hand. The referee and VAR did not consider the incident a penalty. In the continuation Nyíregyháza also led some dangerous attacks, but neither team could reach a serious scoring chance for a long time.

In the 21st minute we came close to taking the lead, Gradisar raced towards goal and passed to Stefanelli, whose shot was blocked and went away for a corner. From the corner kick our Argentine striker burst in and headed over the goal from 6 yards. Ten minutes later we saw another Vidi chance, Stefanelli tricked the defenders, cut inside from the left, set himself up for a shot and then powered wide from 18 yards.

In the 35th minute Szabó's shot was confidently saved by the visitors' goalkeeper. Another three minutes passed, when Stefanelli again broke into the 16-yard box with a nice trick, and finally Melnyik shot on goal, however, his attempt was blocked by the defenders. Just before the break we came close to scoring again, Holender's cross was headed at goal by Szabó from close range and went over. The first half ended with a good Vidi chance.

At the beginning of the second half, in the 58th minute, Nyíregyháza had some good chances: after a header Csongvai saved from the goal line, then the ball came back to the visitors, Nagy bravely saved the ball from going into the goal. Then in the 65th minute, another Vidi chance was recorded, Melnyik's left-wing cross was passed to Stefanelli inside the penalty area by Gradisar, whose shot was saved by Tóth.

In the 70th minute, we took the lead, Bálint Szabó set up Gradisar from the halfway line, who found the net alone and slotted past Tóth (1-0).

Ten minutes later we doubled our lead: Kalmár's 18-metre shot was saved by Balázs Tóth, and then the visitors' goalkeeper saved Katona's shot well. After Katona's shot, the ball bounced off Tóth and onto the hands of Keresztes, and the referee immediately pointed to the spot. The penalty was converted by Katona (2-0).

Three minutes later, Kalmár's free kick was headed across, Katona controlled the ball and missed by inches - not much was missing for our third goal. In the last minutes the result didn't change, we picked up an important 3 points against Nyíregyháza.

Our team will play their last league game of the year next Saturday at the home of MTK.
