Vidi will play the smaller Munich side on Thursday with a 16:00pm kick off.
The German club celebrated their 155th birthday in May. The club was formed back in 1860 but had their best days in the mid 1960's. They won the German cup in 1964 (the second time since 1942), and then played West Ham in the 1968 Cup winners Cup final at Wembley, in front of 100,000. Hungarian match official Istvan Zsolt took charge of that final. The Munich club suffered a 2-0 defeat in that final, which remains their most significant game in the club's history. Their only ever German Bundesliga title success happened in 1966.
1860 Munich were a Bundesliga side from 1994 until 2004. However, they have been unable to get promotion back to that league since then, becoming a stable second division side. Previous players include Davor Šuker, Thomas Häßler and Rudi Völler. There are also Hungarian links to be found over the years. Hungarian international keeper Gabor Kiraly spent a lengthy spell with them from 2009 until 2014, making 170 appearances for 1860 Munich. Former FTC manager Ricardo Moniz had a brief period in charge with the blue and whites. Brazilian Leonardo also joined them after a period with FTC. Current Ferencvaros forward Benjamin Lauth was a player for them at the start of 2000 when they were in the top division.
The TSV 1860 Munich squad is valued at around the 18,35 million euro mark. Their most valuable player is 24 year old Spaniard Rodri, who is worth around 2 million euro.
