Vidi face Haladas for the 74th time in the first division

Videoton are back in OTP league action on Saturday with an important game against Haladas.

The two sides have met 73 times in the first division so far. Vidi enjoy the better overall record having won 37 of those games. A total of 14 have been drawn while Haladas have won 22 matches.  The overall goal difference reads 125-82 in favour of the red and blues.

The first league match :
That came in 1968 in weekend 10 of that season. The first game was played in Szombathely and the home side won 2-1 on the 19th May. Vidi's goal that day came from Laszlo Karsai.

First Videoton win:
That also happened in 1968 on the 19th August. Week 18 of that campaign ended with a 3-0 home win at the Sostoi stadium. All three goals were scored by Laszlo Karsai.

Biggest ever win:
Vidi beat Haladas 7-0 at the Sostoi a few months ago. The game was played on the 12th April 2015 and the goals that day were scored by Feczesin (2), Trebotic (2), Oliveira, Nikolics and an own goal. Vidi have also beaten Haladas twice by a six goal margin. The first came on the 7th June 1970 in a 7-1 win at the Sostoi stadium, (goalscorers: Tibor Wollek 4, Laszlo Karsai 2, Laszlo Csukovics). There was also a 6-0 win on the 24th September 1977 in Szekesfehervar. Three goals from Laszlo Majer and further goals from Jozsef Szabo, Gyozo Burcsa and Laszlo Karsai. There are another two big wins that are worthy of a mention. The 22nd May 2004 also saw Vidi record a 6-1 victory at the Sostoi. The scorers were Hercegfalvi, Koller, Koczian, Medved, Szabo and a penalty from keeper Tudor. Another large win was back in September 1988 and a 4-0 scoreline. Goals coming from Novath, Emmer, Petres and an own goal.

Best individual performance:
That fete goes to Tibor Wollek who scored four goals in a single match. Several other players have performed very well in years gone by against Saturday's opponents. Robert Jovan in 1988, Zoran Kuntics 1995 both scored four goals in a league match. Players who have managed three goals against the green and whites include Lajos Mayer 1977 in a 6-0 win. Tibor Nagy in 1982 scored all three in a 3-0 win. Current Vidi manager Ferenc Horvath bagged three goals in the 4-2 away win in 1992.

Largest ever defeat:
Haladas beat Vidi 4-0 back in October 1976 in a match that was played in Szekesfehervar.

Most goals in a league match:
That was in a game back in 1970 in a game that ended with 8 goals and a 7-1 scoreline. There have been three matches that have ended with a total of 7 goals being shared. The first was in May 2004 in Fehervar, when Vidi won 6-1. A game back in the 2009-2010 season ended with 7 goals being scored a a 4-3 win for Haladas. The final game came last season in a 7-0 home win against Hali in the spring of 2015.

Top goalscorer:
Laszlo Karsai has scored 11 times against Haladas over the years. The talented forward managed those 11 goals in over a decade of football. Each match that he scored in secured at least a point or a win for the team from Szekesfehervar.
