Videoton return to OTP league action on Sunday at the Pancho Arena.
It is back to league action on Sunday evening after the Europa League adventure ended on Thursday. Vidi entertain rivals Ferencvaros at Felcsut. The green and whites always provide stiff opposition and matches between the two have always produced good games. Fradi are a point and one place behind Vidi going into Sunday's important match.
Ferencvaros have played one more league match than Vidi with six so far in season 2017/18. While Vidi were playing the first leg in Belgrade last Thursday, the Budapest club were beating Haladas 2-0. That meant they remained unbeaten with two wins and four draws on the table. Roland Varga has scored 5 goals so far. They have played the same teams as Videoton so far. Debrecen (0-0) and Puskas Academy (1-1), which Vidi both managed to beat. Fradi have also beaten Mezokovesd (5-0), but just like us, could not beat Ujpest, drawing the derby game (2-2). There was also a draw with Paks (1-1) and a 2-0 win over Haladas. Their right winger Roland Varga has five goals to his name and is top scorer in the OTP league currently. Instat figures makes their Nigerian left back Amadou Moutari their best player.
Transfermarkt.de values their squad at 12,65 million euros (ours is 12,25 million), which is mainly thanks to their summer signings: Lukacs Bole 800,000€, Rui Pedro 1 million €, Otigba Kenneth 1,3 million €, Marcos Pedroso 900,000€, Tamas Priskin 550,000€ and Fernando Gorriaran, who is valued at 1,1 million €. Departures included last season regular players Emir Dilaver, Michal Nalepa, Oliver Hüsing, Marko Djuricin, Szung-Vun Riu, Laszlo Kleinheisler and Andras Rado. Ferencvaros were forced to bring off Leandro, Gorriaran and Balazs Lovrencsics in their most recent league game due to an injury. Zoltan Gera, Tamas Hajnal and Lukacs Bole have not featured for a while on the pitch.
