Vidi are in a difficult position following the first leg match

Videoton had chances at the home of Lech Poznan, but could not find the back of the net. The home side took advantage of their chances to secure a first leg lead.

There were around 14,000 inside the 43,000 capacity INEA stadium by the time of kick off. The Vidi side unfurled a message to keeper Filip Pajovics before the match, who had suffered an injury to his skull during a recent training session.

Linetty had a shot from distance for the home side in the early moments, which produced a save from Danilovics in the visiting goal. Videoton could have gone ahead shortly after when the ball rebounded in front of Soumah, who shot low from close range, but Buric dived to his right to save. Gyrucso found himself clear on goal between the home defence, but his first touch was too strong and the keeper was on hand to collect the ball. Lech went ahead after 11 minutes: Linetty played the ball to his left for Douglas to send in a low ball in to the box for Linetty to stick out a leg and find the back of the net from 12 meters out. (1-0).

Lovrencsics had a chance after 14 minutes with a shot but it went wide. Pawlowski had a chance from 25 meters shortly after, which went just over the bar. Gyurcso saw his free kick from 30 meters tipped over by Buric. The 33rd minute saw Pawlowski with a great chance to double to the lead. However, his shot from 7 meters went wide. Midfielder Simon then tried with a shot from distance moments later but it was dealt with by the home keeper. Tralka then had a chance on half time but his shot from 22 meters went just wide of the target. The 44th minute resulted in Gyurcso trying to surprise Buric with a shot from 35 meters, but the ball ended up going wide, which was the final action of the first half.

Vidi started the second half strongly and have more of the possession in the opening 10 minutes. Gyurcso released Soumah on 49 minutes, with Buric parrying the ball to Ivanovski, who played the ball back to Oliveira. He then found Gyurcso with a ball in to the far post, which was volleyed wide of goal. A lovely crossball moments later from Pawlowski was fired over by Lovrencsics from 15 meters out to bring out another save from Danilovics. The home side then extended their lead after 57 minutes. Lovrrencsics sent in a good ball from the right, which Thomalla headed on to the post. The ball rebounded off the back of Danilovics to make it 2-0.

There was another goal for the home side 10 minutes later: Hamalainen saw his volley blocked, and the ball back in from the left by Douglas found Tralka, who flicked the ball into the goal from 5 meters (3-0). Tralka then had a volley on 70 minutes, which went wide of the goal. Vidi tried to go forward but could not get close to the Lech goal. The home side continued to cause danger for the visiting side. Pawlowski curled a ball just over the bar after 79 minutes.

Referee Drachta blew the final whistle and Lech Poznan will go in to the second leg with a 3-0 lead in a week's time.
