It was a busy day on Wednesday as Vidi prepare to face Ararat Yerevan.
On Wednesday afternoon, our head coach Imre Szabics and our goalkeeper Ádám Kovácsik faced the media at the press conference at the MOL Arena Sóstó.
Our head coach pointed out that although we started the pre-season without our national team players, he is satisfied with the summer performance of all the players. Our opponents have been thoroughly looked at by the coaching team, with a total of ten former and current national team players in the Armenian squad, which has undergone a major change over the summer. Imre Szabics also revealed that he and his staff have prepared the players to the best of their abilities for Thursday night's game.
"I feel 100%, my injury is fortunately a thing of the past, I don't worry about it at all. All European matches are difficult, and Thursday night will be no different, but we definitely want to win at home. Of course I want to prove myself, but I also want to enjoy the game, as it's been a long time since I've played a competitive match." - commented keeper Adam Kovácsik.
After the press conference, MOL Fehérvár FC trained on the main pitch at the MOL Arena Sósto from 17:00, the first 15 minutes of which were open to the public. On Thursday evening at 20:00, we will host the Armenian team Ararat Yerevan in the first leg of the first qualifying round of the Europa Conference League.
