MOL Vidi and Ujpest FC have won their last three league games going into the weekend fixture.
Third in the league table Ujpest FC go into the match in good form having won their last three league games (Kisvarda 1-0. Paks 2-0, Mezokovesd 2-1). They achieved this while at the same time only conceding a single goal. Their defensive line of Burekovic, Pauljevic, Litauszki, Ristevski and Bojovic, with Pajovic in goal behind them. The lilacs have conceded the joint least goals (19) with Vidi managing to score just once against them. That came from the head of Roland Juhasz in what was the MOL Arena Sosto’s opening match. A 2-0 defeat a couple of weeks later in Budapest followed.
Top goalscorer for Ujpest with 9 goals is Soma Novothny, but he departed in March to South Korea. In his place arrived forward Lacina Traore and he has so far scored 3 goals and each from the penalty spot. Obinna and Beridze have both got 4 goals this season. Donat Zsoter with 5 assists and 3 goals is up there in the Canadian Table, but Novothny is top, while Beridze has 4+4. Bojan Sankovic has played the most minutes (2385) this season and has started each game, although he has been substituted 3 times. Obinna is on 2268 with Filip Pajovic having played 2160. There are no injuries to their key players and manager Nebojsa Vignjevic will not have any players missing through suspension. Ujpest have two former Vidi players in their squad with Filip Pajovic spending 2011-2016 with the red and blues and Donat Zsoter coming through the youth system between 2011 and the summer of 2016.
