The views of the two managers

Balazs Beko was satisfied with what he saw in the Honved match

Videoton comfortably beat Honved 4-0 on Tuesday evening, in the Hungarian cup, quarter final, second leg. The win means it is Vidi who progress to the next round, with an aggregate score of 5-1.

Gyorgy Mezey felt unwell before the start of the match, probably suffering from a bout of flu. He managed to be in the dugout for the first half, but began to feel poorer, as half time approached. He was eventually forced to leave the Sostoi stadium early, with coach Balazs Beko, taking over the running of the team during the second half.

Balázs Bekő: "The minimum expectation today, was for the side to try and continue with the football they produced against Ferencvaros. Tonight had a totally different atmosphere to the game, but I think that everyone did what was asked of them. This means that we have confidently made it through to the last four of the Hungarian cup. I am really pleased that the young players did well today, and showed that they have not made it into the first team squad by accident. Gyurcso has already played in the league cup this season, and managed to score a goal today. You could see on defender Martin Izing, that he has learned a lot from the central defensive partnership of Liptak and Vasko. My fellow coach, Tamas Bodog has also spent a lot of time trying to improve his game. He did really well with Tamas Vasko besides him. Lastly, I was pleased for Laszlo Lencse, who scored two goals in the match. There was a good crowd inside the stadium, despite it being a midweek game, and that it was covered live on TV. Today's nice win will hopefully bring in a really big crowd for Friday evening's big league match with Debrecen.

Attila Supka: "Today's match did not go according to plan, and we conceded a very quick goal, which went on to determine the outcome of the game. Videoton have a stronger squad than we do, and today's game showed this up."
