The reaction of the two managers following the final whistle

Michael Boris and Attila Révész spoke after the match.

Michael Boris:

"We had a plan, but we saw what Kisvárda could do. They can counter-attack well, they have good long runs, and in the first ten minutes they played accordingly, scoring three goals, for which we congratulate them! We didn't defend well then, but we can see how we reacted after that score. We improved as a team, we fought for each other, we did the nasty work that few people see and we came back very nicely after 0-3. We are happy, we are proud, that's true team spirit! After 0-3 I thought at first that maybe we should make a change, then we looked at each other with the rest of the staff to see what we should do, but we believed in our style and this game, so we waited. Of course, you could switch to 4-4-2 at this time, but even then I'm not sure much would change. We knew we needed to create space, which is why we had the idea from the start to play through Hangya and Nego, as we knew how much Kisvárda play man-to-man, and this led to Funsho and Kodro dropping deeper back into midfield. After twelve minutes the score was 0-3, obviously this was not the plan, but we decided to wait until the break and continued to believe in ourselves. We showed what happens when a team wants and believes in itself."

Révész Attila:

"We played a varied match, where the home team deserved to win. We started the match brilliantly, scoring 3 goals in the first 12 minutes. We were expecting Vidi's line-up and play, but we hit them on the counter at the beginning of the match. After 0-3 we didn't manage to defend well, Nego got behind the defenders several times, which showed our shortcomings. Our attack minded players didn't really want to defend, they were a bit undisciplined. We should have gone at least 5-10 minutes without conceding. We left large areas open in midfield, we positioned ourselves badly, unfortunately the messages from the bench to the players were slow to get through. Unfortunately, we had several players who have not played much lately, so we didn't have good substitutions, that decided the game, if everyone had been available we could have competed with Vidi, but we couldn't, congratulations to the home team!"
