Tamás Horváth joins Videoton FC

Tamás Horváth has agreed terms with Videoton FC and has signed for the club. The 190cm, 27 year old keeper spent 9 years at Újpest, before moving to Mezőkövesd last season. He played 21 games for them and his performances won him a place in the Hungarian squad.

"If a player in Hungary is wanted by Videoton FC, I think that it is an immense joy, and the same applied to me. I am joining a club with big possibilities, and a club that will be fighting to win the league title and play in European competition each year. They have been dominant in Hungarian football in recent years. I will do everything I can to get in to the starting eleven" - commented Tamás Horváth.

"I would like to create a spine to the team, and Tamas is part of this conception. I hope that he will be the long-term solution for Videoton in goal. He is young but also experienced and will be very useful to the future team" - commented club director Győző Burcsa.

Tamás Horváth has been training with the rest of the team and will naturally join the squad as they head out on Saturday to their Austrian training camp.
