Honved are the visitors on Sunday in the OTP league
There have been big changes during the summer break for Budapest side Honved. They managed to finish last season in fourth place, earning the chance to play in the Europa League. Attila Supka, who managed them last year, left to take over at fellow first division one side Pecs. His place was went to Italian Marco Rossi. A total of 14 players departed the Bozsik stadium, while 9 arrived. They had a mixed pre-season judging by their results, winning three, drawing two and losing the remaining two. Honved were then drawn against Albanian side Flamurtari in the qualifying first round stage.
Things went well for them as they picked up a good 1-0 win in the away leg. They made sure of going through with a comfortable 2-0 win in Budapest. Awaiting them in the 2nd round qualifier were Anzsi Mahacskala, who were Balazs Dzsudzsak's previous club. Although they only lost by a single goal in the away leg, the difference between the two sides became evident, in the return leg, as Samuel ETO and company won 4-0.
They had little time to rest as the OTP league campaign kicked off. Rossi's side picked up 3 points in their 1-0 win away at Siofok, before making it 2 out of 2, with a good 2-1 win over DVTK at the Bozsik stadium. They are the only side to still have a 100% record in the league so far this season. Their 3 goals so far have been scored by 3 different players, with Ignjatovic, Delczeg and Diaby all finding the back of the net so far. Videoton faced Honved 4 times last season. Vidi lost 1-0 in Budapest, before winning by the same scoreline at the Sostoi. The pair also met in the league cup, with Paulo Sousa's side winning 2-1 at home, before a 1-1 draw followed at the Bozsik stadium.
