Head coach Tamás Pető named the eleven of Dala - Holender, Huszti, Petrov, Spandler, Milicevic - Katona, Melnyik, Bedi, Sekularac - Szabó B. in the starting team.

The home team started agilely, especially on the right wing. In the 3rd minute, George Toma burst forward with energy, but his cross was not met by a teammate. It soon became clear that the fighting spirit of our team was not going to be a problem either; Bence Bedi tackled his opponent hard, and then caught up with the ball that looked to be going beyond the baseline and saved the throw-in instead of a corner. At the other goal, Filip Holender fought for the ball and got it, the action ended with Bedi's shot into the home keeper's arms.

In the 13th minute, Péter Beke's free kick was fumbled by Dala Martin, our goalkeeper and Zan Medved both went for the ball, the home striker made a huge dive. Referee Balázs Berke first awarded a penalty, then after a VAR review he withdrew it and Medved, received a yellow card for acting.

The goals were not in danger as the game continued, with both teams focusing on defence. In the 31st minute Dominik Nagy's 25-metre free-kick went over. It was an even contest on the pitch. In the 40th minute, Dala threw the ball out as one of the spectators became ill. The game was paused while treatment was given.

At the break, neither coach made any changes and the game remained the same. Then in the 53rd minute, Bálint Szabó set up Mátyás Katona, who broke inside the penalty area but was overpowered. A minute later, Toma's rebound was played through by Beke, Dala's neat save was tipped away. From a corner, Keita headed over - the match livened up.

Tamás Pető made a change, Stefanelli came on for Sekularac. In the 61st minute Szabó conjured up a free kick as he found Petrov's head, the ball was blocked by Balázs Tóth - our best chance on goal so far. In the 73rd minute, Dala came out of his goal badly and the ball was flicked into the empty net by Keresztes (1-0). In the 76th minute, Melnyik received his second yellow card and we were reduced to a man down. Milan Pető also came on, replacing Huszti. At the end of a Pető-Katona combination, we won a penalty, but Szabó's resulting spot kick went over.

In the last minutes, Vidi pressed forward in search of a leveller, we missed some home counter-attacks, but the result did not change. Nyíregyháza won the match 1-0.
