Sandor and Vitor Gomes have slight injuries ahead of the league cup tie

Vidi travel to Dunaujvaros on Wednesday hoping to make it through to the next stage.

"Gyorgy Sandor pulled his thigh muscle in the recent match, while Vitor Gomes suffered an injury last week" - explained club doctor Tibor Kovacs.

With two midfielders battling with injuries, coupled with the fact that Balazs Toth will be serving a ban after his red card, which will force him to miss Wednesday's league cup match at Dunaujvaros, young midfielders, Martin Hudak and Baltazar Buki have been preparing with the Vidi first team squad. Sadly Buki also picked up a serious injury, following a bad move.

"His ligament and inner side muscle was torn in his left leg. Dr Geza Abkarovits will perform an operation on the young player on Wednesday. This will mean that he will likely be out for half a year. His injury is very similar to the one that Zsolt Haraszti suffered back in February" - commented Dr Tibor Kovacs.

"I am very sad as I have never had any serious injuries in the past. I was just ahead of the biggest chance in my career so far, as I would have been part of the first team squad against Dunaujvaros in the league cup. I had to jump over a hurdle while I was running during training, but I hit the ground very badly, and I heard a crack, before suffering very bad pain, which I have never experienced previously. I do not know what I can say. I am very down at the moment, but I hope that I can recover following my operation, and that I will have similar chances to play for Vidi" - said young midfielder Baltazar Buki.
