Mezőkövesd stuck with head coach Attila Kuttor for a long time, but in mid-February the experienced coach was sacked. His place was taken by Serbian Milan Milanovic, who has a record of four defeats (Mezőkövesd - Kisvárda 1-2, MTK - Mezőkövesd 3-1, Mezőkövesd - DVTK 1-2, Mezőkövesd - FTC 0-3), one draw (Újpest FC - Mezőkövesd 2-2) and one win (DVSC - Mezőkövesd 0-1).
The team has the same number of points as Kisvárda after 26 rounds, but as Kisvárda has one more win, they are 11th in the table.
