On Saturday we play our last game of 2021 against Mezőkövesd

In the 17th round of the OTP Bank League, the last match of the year, will see us host Mezőkövesd-Zsóry on Saturday at 19:30 at the MOL Arena Sóstó. This is the second time this season that we have faced the Borsod team, in September we drew 2-2 away from home, with our goals coming from Nikolic and Heister.

Mezőkövesd are 5th in the table after 16 league games. They have a record of 6 wins, 4 draws and 6 defeats, scoring 19 goals and conceding 26. Their top scorer is Marin Jurina with five goals, followed by Dániel Nagy with three, Dino Besirovic, Tamás Cseri and Stefan Drazic with two goals each.

Saturday's opponents started the season under Attila Pintér, but he was sacked at the beginning of October after the defeat against Puskás Akadémia, and was replaced by Attila Supka. Since then they have moved up five places in the table, but in the last round they suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to Kisvárda.

Mezőkövesd are no longer in contention in the MOL Hungarian Cup: after a 2-0 win against Komárom, they were eliminated by Szeged on penalties after a 1-1 final score.
