Nikolics is just one goal behind the current Videoton club director in the goalscoring table.
Vidi's best ever goalscorer over the years was Jozsef Szabo, who also scored the most goals during the 1984-85 season in the UEFA cup, and went on to score a total of 111 goals for the red and blues. Videoton's current director is Gyozo Burcsa, who has 78 goals to his name for Videoton FC. Laszlo Tieber is in joint third place with current forward Nemanja Nikolics with 77 goals each.
Nikolics' fantastic strike rate in front of goal has also seen him stand out in Europe, with him currently being the second highest goalscorer on the continent. Before the start of the current league season, Niko stood in fifth place with 66 goals in the overall table of goals scored for Videoton over the years. He has since gone on to add a further 11 goals, with just two players now in front of him. Gyozo Burcsa scored 78 goals in 177 league matches representing an average of 0,44 goals/ game). Jozsef Szabo played in 236 first division games scoring 111 goals, which gave him a ratio of 0,47 goals/match. Nemanja Nikolics has now scored 77 goals in his 133 matches, which gives him 0,57 goals/match.
Nikolics can therefore reach and even overtake Gyozo Burcsa in Saturday's match at Pecs if he gets among the goals.
