Vidi's final home league game of the season takes place on Saturday evening against MTK.
MOL Vidi FC play their final home league game of the season on Saturday. The game against MTK at the MOL Arena Sosto will kick off at 17:00pm.
The Budapest club had never been below 6th place until week 22 of the season. They looked certain of keeping their place in the division at that point. They then played a 0-0 draw with Ujpest to move down to 7th place. Then a defeat to Ferencvaros saw them keep 7th but the team from the capital dismissed manager Tamas Feczko and brought in Tamas Lucsanszky. They have since picked up 3 points from 7 games. They beat DVTK in match 26 to collect the three points and are now level on points with the Miskolc club who occupy one of the relegation places.
Their most valuable player according to transfermarkt.de is Adam Pinter, who has a value of 500,000€. He is ahead of Selin and Bognar who both have a 400,000€ price tag. MTK have a squad that is valued at 5,65 million euros, which is the 9th highest in the league. MTK have played 29 different players this season and it is interesting to note that Adam Vass had been a virtual ever present until being being removed from the squad after week 29. Istvan Bognar has played the most minutes (2582) with Vass behind him and keeper Kychak also closed behind. However, the new manager Tamas Lucsanszky has favoured Laszlo Horvath of late.
Top goalscorer with 7 goals is Torghelle with Kanta and Gera both following on 6 goals. Bognar has provided 9 assists to go on top of his 5 goals to be on 14 Canadian points. Torghelle is behind with 7+5. Laszlo Lencse scored several goals at the start of the season but has fallen back to be on 5+4. He last scored in the December game with Haladas.
MTK will be without Vass on Saturday. Ikenne King and Baki have missed the entire spring while Daniel Gera has been forced to sit out the last two games. Lencse and Katona are also out having collected 5 yellow cards. MTK have not received any red cards recently. Their squad includes former Vidi loan players Tamas Kulcsar and Balazs Farkas. Lencse helped Vidi to the league title in 2011 while Sandor Torghelle was a member of the 2012 EL group stage.
