Videoton will take on Mezokovesd at the Pancho Arena in Felcsut on Saturday afternoon. They are managed by former Vidi player and youth coach Attila Kuttor.
Videoton will come up against Mezokovesd for the second time in the 2017-18 season on Saturday. The first game was away and produced a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Henty and Lazovic. The yellow and blues were managed by Miklos Radvanyi in that match but the Borsod county side have not been in the best of form since then.
Mezsokovesd Zsory FC remained in the first division in the final match of the 2016/17 season. Vidi have already played today’s opponents once this campaign. The Borsod county side took on Videoton back in August when they were in the top 3 and it was Vidi who emerged comfortable 2-0 winners. Mezokovesd beat both Debrecen and Paks in the opening two league games but have struggled to pick up points since. They have collected 4 points from the last 12 games and each of those were from drawn games against Vasas, Balmazujvaros, Haladas and Paks.
The club occupying one of the relegation places changed their manager recently and a former familiar face has taken charge of the last two games in the form of Attila Kuttor. The one time central defender played for Vidi in three periods from 1989 onwards. He was most recently a coach of one of the youth teams at Vidi.
Roland Baracskai, Tomas Tujvel and Pal Lazar have all played for Videoton FC in the past, while keeper Tamas Horvath was picked for the national squad during his time with them. Alekszandar Damcsevszki, Peter Sulek, Tarmo Kink, Roland Fröhlich, Marko Dinjar and Mihajlo Milutinovics have all left the club since the two teams last met each other. Bence Iszlai, Frano Mlinar and Mark Murai have all arrived. Transfermarkt.de values the Mezokovesd squad as the 10th most valuable in the NBI.
