Match Report: Big match ends in a draw

Vidi and FTC shared a 1-1 draw on Saturday evening at the MOL Arena Sosto.

Vidi entertained FTC at the MOL Arena Sosto on Saturday. Manager Gabor Marton fielded the following side: Rockov - Bolla, Musliu, Stopira, Fiola - Nego, Nikolov - Funsho, Houri, Petryak - Nikolic.

The Vidi players lined up behind a banner that gave a message of a speedy recovery for injured players Adam Kovacsik and Istvan Kovacs. The game began with the first chance coming after 3 minutes. Botka went down the right and his cross into the middle was well collected by Rockov in the Vidi goal. At the other end, Nikolic caused confusion for Dibusz after 7 minutes, following a short back pass from Botka that made things difficult. However, they managed to clear the danger. A minute later and Petryak tried from 8 meters but his low shot was dealt with by Dibusz. There were three corners that came on the quarter hour mark. Neither of which resulted in Vidi being able to take the lead. Kovacivic did well to slide in and deny an opening goal following a shot from Nego. It was Nego again who was in the thick of the action after 32 minutes. This time his shot from 12 meters went wide of the goal. Moments later Botka shot into the middle and Rockov was well place to deal with it. Fiola's 41st minute cross was headed wide by Funsho from close range in what was a big chance.

The visitors took the lead after their first real chance close to half time: A free kick into the box was headed back across goal by Somalia and it landed in the corner of the net to give FTC a 1-0 lead, which they took into the half time break.

The start of the second half saw a shot by Funsho from 20 meters, but it did not have enough strength to cause problems for the FTC keeper. Houri's 54th minute corner saw Stopira rise to meet it in the middle, but a defender managed to clear it off the line. A minute later and Boli brought down Funsho inside the area and referee Karako pointed at the spot. Nikolic stood behind the ball and confidently sent it into the corner to give Vidi the equaliser (1-1).

Ferencvaros went close after 57 minutes when Heister shot from 7 meters from a tight angle just wide. The next 15 minutes did not bring any further chances until Skvarka's 72nd minute strike that went over following a free kick. Tokmac did try from 25 meters but that also evaded the home goal and went over. Funsho's shot from 10 meters was another good chance at the other end but the assistant referee flagged for offside. FTC had a chance close to the end when Zubkov shot from 26 meters at goal following a free kick, but Rockov did well to save.

The game ended in a 1-1 draw, which means that FTC continue to lead the table by a point. Vidi are next in action on the 7th November when we travel to the home of MTK.
